  1. shame, but not surprised; I don’t think quality is possible at that price point, due to price of some ingredients. Pick up the Patronus Weissbier in Lidl instead. Brilliant quality.

  2. I used to get that metallic taste for about 3 straight home brews. I thought it was my equipment but after researching, it can be caused by improperly stored grains. I stopped getting my grains from a certain vendor and BOOM, the metallic flavor is gone

  3. The market for these type of beers is now tiny IMO. A 4 pack of Brewdog for a fiver leaves them redundant. No longer drink the latter but if you're Shopping at the cheaper end of the market (which I do sometimes so no beer snob) there is no comparison.

  4. " what a shame" is right. One hopes that some day one of the big brewers will figure out how to produce a high quality beer at an reasonable price. They could do for the beer world what Henry Ford did for the the automotive world.

  5. Be interesting what you think about the double hopped Citra one, I think it's one of the better ones and only £1.19, it's like the cheaper brother of Oakham Citra 🙂

  6. Would be interesting experiment to leave it in the fridge for 72 hrs and see if the metallic taste gets removed. To be fair it can happen to any beer. 🙂
