Day 313 Beer Review: Maltings Irish Ale (Export Strength), Sullivan's Brewing Company, IRISH RED ALE

Day 313 of 365: Maltings Irish Ale (LTD – Export Strength), Sullivan’s Brewing Company, Kilkenny, Ireland.
Purchased: Gift from Pete.
Brewery: https://www.sullivansbrewingcompany.com/us/

This is the second beer from the box Pete was kind enough to send me. This is an Irish Red Ale that comes in at 5% ABV and poured a deep amber color with a red hue and a nice foamy tan head. The nose was malty caramel and not much else. This was medium bodied, tasted of caramel malt with a nice light hop finish. This was a well balanced beer that was quite rich and flavorful. I would certainly have another one of these, Cheers Pete!!

  1. Cheers, this is another one of those beers that when I found it I knew it was going to be sent to OH.

This beer impressed me with the malty notes throughout. Finished clean. I have two left, not enough. I’ll need more.
