Can I put a dollup of sour cream on it, or would it ruing the whole thing???
on the stove right now…
Oooh! Your right it does smell like a wet leprechaun, at least from what I'm remember from drinking all that Guinness and Jameson a bunch of St. Patties day ago 🤔🤔🤫🤫😞😞. Love the recipe, but going to do a roast, if any else I can throw in plz let me know, and plz nobody say "Ye Lucky Charms"🤪😂.
Love you recipes and wit, Happy Future St Patties Day in 17 days ☘️🍀🍺🍺🎩🇮🇪!!
I usually put red potatoes in my Crockpot or Dutch oven but I thought I would try this recipe. It is fantastic. I like the mash potato idea. It will be difficult to go back to the other way.
There's something in the can to give it a draft affect when you pour it never drink Guinness straight from the can😳
The most amazing recipe ever!! Making it now. I recommend using homemade chicken stock I’ve made it with the store bought and it’s way better if you make it yourself.
Ok, I will try it. It look great! Thanks🍲
Holy moly i just made this tonight and it was off the charts delish. I was so afraid i would screw up and have tough meat but it is tender and gorgeously flavored. Thank u !
I made this recipe on Saturday with some mashes potatoes with butter and chives. This is hands down the most tender, rich, and delicious beef stew we have ever had!
Looks Fabulous,
Alot of Bars that serve food here in Dublin, Also Add in Mushrooms, I'm Delighted to see No Mushrooms in the Cooking Process 😊🥳just to point out.. Guinness is a Stout.
Maybe make a Video on Dublin Coddle ,??
Amazing stew!
Hi Chef John, I tried this recipe and was so looking forward to tasting it, but to my horror, it taste horrible. I don't know which steps did it went wrong. The stew taste flat and a backnote bitter. I added sugar but did't help. Would you kindly share how to I avoid this?
I had to throw the sauce and redo the stew all over again this time with red wine instead
John would you hurry up and break something metal in your kitchen and send it to This Old Tony. Would be the best collaboration on YouTube. Hands down
You sound exactly like a guy I follow on another channel. A woodworking channel
I have to make this now. If for no other reason, just to experience the smell of a "Wet Leprechaun" . 🍀🍺💦
I wish you had said it would taste magically delicious 😆
What about using beef broth?
Explain why you use chicken broth and not beef broth….makes no sense to use a chicken broth for a beef protein…that's like using beef broth for chickens soup….smh
Well, everyone needs more thyme.
Stick it in the oven with the lid a bit askew @325 for 2 hours, if you don’t want to fuss with the stovetop.
I've definitely smelled like a wet leprechaun before
Delicious! I make this once a week now – everyone loves it!
We just made this for our 2021 thanksgiving dinner in lieu of turkey. So ridiculously yummy and satisfying. Thanks once again for a perfectly constructed recipe, Chef John!👨🍳 Wouldn’t change a thing. Happy holidays!
I did the same here but I used rabbit meat an oh my God it was so good
Mmmm. Wet leprechauns….yummy.
I added mushrooms, Excellent
Absolutely fantastic chef John !!!!
My friend made this for me in middle school. Now I make it regularly for my husband. Very very delicious, this is one of my favorite foods.
